JAZZ RADIO IS ALIVE AND WELL ONLINE

A Blessing For Jazz Artists and Small Record Labels

CapCity - Washington, D.C. 2010 --- Many radio stations that formerly programed jazz music have switched to news-talk or other formats leaving a void for jazz music fans. But online jazz radio is alive and well filling the void with no territorial broadcasting boundary. Internet stations such as WGMC Jazz90.1 in Greece, New York draws listeners from afar as Athens, Greece. and Ty Bailey the host of "Just Jazz" on WSVT-FM in Petersburg, Virginia has a broad jazz listenership.

"Online radio is also a blessing for small jazz artist and small record labels," says Robert Wardrick co-founder of Washington, DC based One Language Music whos debut release, A Work In Progress by Thad Wilson's Jazz Orchestra is getting exposure through online jazz radio.

Radio music directors and DJs are introducing jazz music to a younger generation via social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Myspace and also getting the attention of advertisers.
